Frequently Asked Questions
For 4-H Enrollment 2009/2010

Remind me why we’re changing the enrollment process again.
The state switched over, so we are too! There are also really cool features to the system:
  • 4hOnline is accessed through the internet, so you can get into the system anywhere at anytime with the internet.
  • The system is very flexible and adaptable. Club leaders will have access to member’s information, many reports and past years’ info, too. More than one person can be logged in at the same time and looking at the same thing!
  • Saves trees: only 1 piece of paper for youth and 2 for adults are needed now.
What are the computer requirements for 4hOnline?
You must use one of the following Web browsers:
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer (for Windows users)
  • Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or newer (for Windows and Apple users)
  • Netscape 8.0 or newer (for Windows and Apple users)
  • Mozilla Camino 1.5 or newer (for Apple users)
  • NOT Apple's Safari.
  • You must enable cookies and Javascript.
Who can use 4hOnline?
Everyone! The new online system is for both returning and new members.

How do we pay?
Same as before, families pay their enrollment fees to their club; Youth $18.00 & Adults $10.00.

What’s the deal with the signatures?
There are boxes to be checked in 4hOnline that cover the signatures on the enrollment forms (green page for youth, yellow page for adults) and the waiver of liability (purple page).

Are there forms that still need to be turned in?
Yes, one for members and two for adults.
  • Members & Leaders still need to turn in medical release forms for each project, to their Community Club Leader.
  • Adults still need to turn in their Self Disclosure Form; either send it to: YoloCounty 4-H Office, 70 Cottonwood Street, Woodland, CA95695 or you may give to your Community Club Leader.
Do I need to increase my year in 4-H or my years in my 4-H projects?
No the system has already increased these items for you.

Why isn’t a project I was enrolled in last year listed?
The state changed how they are doing projects this year- this change has affected the cattle, arts and crafts, dog, horse, rabbits, fiber arts, and outdoor adventure projects.  Last year, there were many categories available for these projects (i.e., cattle-dairy and cattle-beef); this year, the categories have been combined, so the projects are listed differently. See Project List

Can I add projects later?
Yes, you can change your project list up until 12/1- this is the deadline to be signed up in order to show at Yolo Spring Show. The system will automatically lock out changes after 12/1. You will still be able to make changes to your other information throughout the year (address, etc.).
