Fruit and Nuts
Carolyn DeBuse is the University of California,Cooperative Extension Farm Advisor – Orchard Systems in Solano County, with cross-county assignment in Solano and Yolo Counties. Carolyn started December 17, 2007, and comes from the Davis Campus. She has been in California for 19 years. She fell in love with apples and pomology in England while working as international exchange student. She has an undergraduate degree in Plant Science-Pomology and a masters degree in Horticulture and Agronomy both received from UC Davis. She has 12 years work experience in pomology, plus 4 years hiatus into sunflowers. She has been working with UC Dried Plum/Prune Cultivar Development Program for the last eight years as the breeder and manager. Ms. DeBuse is excited about the challenges of being a farm advisor, and being a part of a great team.
